but think of buying it at low price so i sold them off at 6.1, wait for correction,

last week drop to 4.16~4.23 but no money, now got money but rise to 4.8 ~ 5 d.
ETFC TP is 1.2 ~ 1.3,
C just follow sifu, 2.5 to 3.5,
i've got 2 lot C at average price of 2.74.
if got 60k how would sifu allocate the 60k on these 4 stocks?

One farmer, he plant one apple tree behind his house. First time harvest, he found out his apple tree only got 10 apple..then he took 9..left one there..Second time harvest got only 5, he damn sad, he took 4 to sell..Up and down continue until 2nd years, he found out that his apple got 100apple and he harvest 90apple..People ask him y he wanna plant like dat..
He answer is dont give up on your tree..Although between got failure..up and down..Important is not the apple I can get..important is my tree can grow bigger and bigger..
Moral of the story got many:
1. Don't so easy give up
2. Although the % of return the same every year..some year might dont have good return..(not important) important is (tree)we got growth..
3. Slowly but surely...

my reasoning:
a) aib total share is lower
b) aib share price is lower
c) aib has less govt own in terms of %.
d) p/e for aib is better than lyg
e) if u look at price one year ago, aib has higher price (prob will hv higher % return)
Above are my reasoning, however, I hope sifu sam can help to comment on which stock is better.

Now I am concerned about the recent run up till today. I'm looking at very small correction and very fast run up and looks like there nothing to stop it. In 2 weeks, it corrects around 10 points but runs up 120 points. Net up is 110 points.
Now your stock cash ratio is around 10%. What if the run up continue for few yrs from today with small correction here and there, do you think you may miss the boat just like the 1990s bull run which took a few yrs. Those who waited for major correction will definitely miss the boat.

I am not sure if my analysis is correct (hope sifu sam can point out if i make error in judgement)...
a) AIB market cap is 2.21B, LYG is 34.53B (in terms of equity both almost the same.. but market cap for AIB is much lower due to the num of shares are lower. However, do you think that LYG is 10 times bigger than AIB?).
b) P/E for AIB is now standing 2.05, P/E for LYG is 5.51.

another Question,
since LYG, AIB and ETFC are out of TP now but C still can get around 2.55~3.00,
now my average cost for 2 lot C is 2.7x,
lowest is 2.57, highest is 2.85.
if i all in my balance $$$ in C at 2.6~2.7x,
and wait for correction for LYG, AIB and ETFC to drop to my TP and if C at 2.7x~3.00 at that time,
i sell of some C to buy AIB /LYG / ETFC,
of cos if C drop to lower and sell it off will loss $$$ then hold 1st.

美股突破9000點 馬股有望延續漲勢
昨天美國股市全天共上揚188.03點或2.12%，最後以9069.29點收市，並成功突破9000點的關鍵心理水平，但這項利好消息並未為馬股帶來激動作用，馬股週五步伐闌珊，在閉市前才被托高，以比週四高的水平收場。
美股在今年的1月6日，成功上衝至9015.1點，馬股在當天也成功隨著美股走高，從1月5日的920.66點，上揚至922.23點。隨著美國股市在過後走跌，馬股也同樣下滑。而這次美國股市成功突破9000點，馬股也一如往常般走高。馬股本週五共上揚3.73點或0.344%，至1155.88點掛收。
Easset管理公司基金經理王啟發在接受《東方財經》訪問時指出，許多基金經理相信各國政府所推出的振興經濟配套將會流入市場，因此他們也開始進場投資，而美國股市也因為著因素而被推高。「大馬政府最近推出的大馬信託基金廣受民眾的歡迎，顯示國內的投資者一般都採取比較保守的投資策略。也因為這樣所以馬股的表現都會落後於其他區與股市。」
馬股漲幅有限
僑豐投行期貨交易商洪正聰認為，我國首相拿督斯里納吉上任100天獲得市場人士極佳的評語，因此許多本地基金經理也開始入場，反而外國基金並未如此活躍。無論如何，馬股今天依然一些賣壓，導致漲幅有限。
「如果不算22日，美股經已連續上揚了9天，因此估計美國股市將會在接下來出回跌至9000點以下，並進行調整。另外微軟、亞馬遜和美國運通近期公佈的業績並不理想，因此可能會影響到美股未來的走勢。」
王啟發則持有不同的看法，他表示，許多近期公佈的數據顯示經濟經意逐漸好轉。而經濟振興配套的大部分撥款都流入基建設施，另外美元的疲弱走勢，也是美國股市受到熱捧的原因之一。
「在經歷過這次經濟風暴的教訓後，美國人的消費主義可能會不復存在，然而我個人認為在一段時間過後，美國人依然會恢復他們過去的消費習慣。」
美股在經歷了連續17個月的下滑後，現在正是技術性熊市漲潮的格局。洪正聰表示這股漲潮不可能會在短時間內結束，至少還能上漲8個月或至今年年尾。他認為，馬股也會搭上這股漲潮的列車走高。
「這股漲潮主要是靠炒家來炒作，因此下滑的可能性依然存在。另一方面，經濟的基本面尚未恢復，因此這次的漲潮主要是依靠市場情緒來支撐。最關鍵的依然是要看在年尾出爐的報告，只有這樣才能斷定經濟情況是否真的擺脫衰退。」
馬股月底料上探1170點
王啟發表示全球經濟體系的恢復，依然存在著兩項不利的因素，其中一項就是歐洲的銀行在經歷了金融風暴後，並未像美國銀行一般進行重組。
而美國人民的消費拮据，長期而言也會導致該國的銀行面對信貸問題。
洪正聰表示，馬股在本月底將會上探1170點至1180點的水平，8月更有望上探至1200點的水平。短期而言，馬股的扶持水平則落在1132點至1140點，而1103點至1095點則是較穩固的扶持水平。

The fact remains clear that the richest man in the world from investing uses FA rather than TA. He is Warren Buffet. By far there are no billionaires from TA trading that I know of. Even famous George Soros, Master of Leverage & Abitrage which speculates on currency and commodities say TA does not work.

I am not saying that TA is useless but it is not a sound INVESTING way. If you are working with most fund management companies, many uses TA as guidelines for trends thats all.
From my opinion, buying STOCKS in a company is like buying a biz. Regardsless whether the stock is trading flat/down/sidewats/etc, the company that is growing healthily with low debts or none is the best. Why need to time what prices to go in and out when the company you are putting in , is generating faster than it can spend.
However, if anyone here who can trade successfully with TA, then you are really a master of TA. I salute you. Keep up the good work.
It is becoz the person who generates good cash from any trading styles is the WINNER. There is no need for heated argument as to who is right or wrong ,, as at the end of the day, the person with the cash is the winner.

Some of the stocks you recommended like YTLPower-WB and Genting International were superb, but you took too small a position compared to your portfolio. Imagine you are manager of your own portfolio, and you are only 17% invested at the bottom of the market. You mentioned that you managed to make >100k in a bear market, but do you know that a bear market bounce like this is much fiercer than any bull run? I am not critisizing you. Just that, sometimes when you are so sure, you should be more aggressive. I would also like to thank you for sharing a lot with your readers.

Hi sifu sam, before i go in to the C , i have study about their history~ below is my 1 cents break down,
C has a biggest lost on year 2008 that has 27,684.Million of lose, and the share price drop to the lowest FEb 2009- march 2009
the most bad quater resutls was annouced on January 16, 2009~ so the share price has respone to the loss. so the continues lose of citi group has been passed and there have recorded 2 quater continue earning (is this means the most bad has been passed) for the investor like me who wish to put in the eggs in 1 basket and now me can start to buy in this share.
Estimated price for Citigroup
how much citi group can go ? citi group trading an the higher price is around 2006-2007 that time group has been recored 20,740m of earning, so let estimated in 3 years time citi group can be back to 10,000-15,000m of earning profit so share price go back to 20 dollar is not that hard~
let see again on latest Q of citi group profit recorded
4,279m , so 4,279*4= 17116m~ see that is close to my estimated.
so is it worth to put in the money now? as sifu sam this type of chance is not easy, maybe whole life of time will facing 1 time only!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Citigroup Inc (C.N) shares could more than double by 2012, financial weekly Barron's said in its July 27 edition, citing the company's global footprint and earnings power.
Citi shares closed at $2.77 on Friday, an 88 percent fall from its 52-week high of $23.50 in October.
Barron's said Citi stock could hit $4 within a year and $6.50 by 2012 -- but it said it would be "hard-pressed" to approach $10 in coming years. The weekly newspaper said the company's appeal is largely based on the fact it is trading at 65 percent of its project tangible book value of $4.25, a sharp discount.
It has been a difficult year for Citi, which has taken $45 billion in bailouts from the U.S. Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program. Citi has given no timeline for repaying its loans, even though competitors such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N) and JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N) repaid billions to Treasury last month.
"No, Citi isn't Goldman Sachs or JPMorgan," Barron's said. "Yet this tarnished but still attractive global franchise holds the potential to generate nice profits and decent stock gains as the economy turns.".

RCE CAPITAL BHD [] has fixed the issue price for its private placement of 71.09 million shares of 10 sen each at 55.03sen per share.
In a statement today, RCE Capital said the price was a discount of 10% to the five-day weighted average market price from July 20 to 24 of 61.15 sen per share.
It said the private placement was expected to be completed by mid-August.
