不幸的是，同时作为享受娱乐明星般待遇的“兼职股评家”，他们的预言也非常不走运。据统计显示，总体而言，在2007年发生股市崩盘的那个秋天，正是基金经理唱多声音最高亢的时候，其时公开的乐观主义者人数众多，并且观点鲜明。很多基金经理情绪激昂地声称，中国股市的黄金十年还刚刚起步；较为典型的是，长盛同智优势增长基金经理肖强对媒体表示，“我们现在的观点与2000点时没有变化，还是坚定地做多中国”！
现任383名基金经理，在不到半年的时间里，不可思议地令一千万基民损失了一万亿元。不言而明，股市崩盘对基民来说是致命的打击。
然而，经历持续暴跌后，基金经理们开始寻找他们预测失误的理由。有基金经理对媒体表示，“你们不要高估了共同基金，他们只不过是受过专业训练的一群人，他们的智慧并不一定高于其他行业，就像受过专业训练的医生一样，我们尚且必须接受其50%的误诊率，我们也不应该对基金经理给予过高的期望”。也许这种想法可以使他感到心安理得吧。

Although I dont know when is low n high, but i know when is cheap n expensive ! stocks that traded with PE >25 is definitely high n stocks that traded @ PE< 8 is definitely low with d assumption of their BS is in healthy condition. let me ma hoa pau abit (back hand story ), why I never call 4 buy on Parkson ?? check it yrself what is d PE for parkson HK n Parkson malaysia ? Parkson HK was once traded at PE 60 +, u called that value buy ?
Every stock has its value , if u dont value it by PER like what d mainland chinese did in 2007, u r gonna to get yrself burnt ! look what happen to ssex today ? down all d way from 6,000 (PE>80) to current level of 2,800 (PE 30+-)! u think SSEX is cheap now ? sorry ..they r still trading at PE 30+- as compared to KLSE of PE 13+-.
If u ppl still doubt of buying low PE is a safer bet, perhaps u should look at those high PE stocks like Parkson , MRCB , Gpacket, Gamuda..check their 52 weeks high n low ^V^
What i am trying to hint here is : if u r holding stocks @ PE 15 n above (except blue chips ) , u r advice to sell it now !
For those who wanted to buy on dip, think twice, u think it is cheap , u will get cheaper later on !
U may ask me, what about u ? arent u still holding some stocks ? well..yes..i still holding some ^V^ but my holding is less than 13% of my total fund, further more , stocks that I bought r all traded at avg PE of less than 7 !!!

so, mathematically,
22.80 x 12 / 0.035 = RM7800
Therefore, above calculation is to justify how much FD (RM7800) u have to put into bank then can get the same return comparable to return from HUAAN. Feel happy the dividend?? Definately.. Why??
Assuming that u just purchase one lot of HUAAN at RM0.78
(RM780+ comm. at 40+1.17+1) said, round up, RM830... but u can get the return of dividend at 2.7% per month or 2.7 x 12 months = 32% p.a... (RM22.8/830=2.7%)wow!! fantastic right?? compare to FD% 3.5% p.a.
But in fact, share price will automatically do some adjustment, said today share price closing at RM0.65.. after X date, may come down to RM0.63... haha!!! Subject to personal view and judgement.. Haha... Pls correct me, if my calculation is wrong..

发展中国家近几年金融市场发展较快，其背景是发达国家宽松的货币政策。美国、欧洲、日本等都出现负利率现象，导致有很多资金流出来。这时候新兴市场出现了很多概念，比如说金砖四国(巴西、俄罗斯、印度、中国),VISTA五国(越南、印尼、南非、土耳其以及阿根廷)等，于是，很多热钱流入发展中国家，主要进入资产市场、房地产和股市，在这一点上新兴国家有一定的类似性。
发展中国家主要面临的问题就是通胀问题，大家面临的情况非常类似。通胀怎么解决？发展中国家大多采取补贴政策。依靠补贴政策维持增长，这有很大的问题。现在石油价格在发展中国家是50美元左右，这与当前国际油价相去甚远。发展中国家面临很大的问题是怎么从补贴政策里解套，因为如此补贴下去，财政将难以支撑。刚刚印度尼西亚把汽油价格提了30%，虽然只占实际成本不到一半，但这已经引起政策波动。所以，接下来，很多国家将面临的问题是由通胀带来的社会不稳定，特别是粮食和能源价格上升以后可能会出现一定的政治波动。
当下越南与今天的印度有相似之处，目前印度也存在高通胀、双逆差现象。一旦发生危机，对资本市场的打击会非常大。因为在全球化的资本市场，钱可以自由流动，且流动的数量巨大。很多市场信心建立于对中国、印度的经济前景的看好，比如在国际石油市场，仅期货基金就有2500亿美元，还不算对冲基金，这个巨大的市场，依赖于对中国和印度等新兴市场的信心。认为印度和中国经济不受油价的影响，这是个误解。其实中国一直在补贴石油价格，油价升高没有进行调整，所以高价位、高需求同时存在。
在印度，问题比较严重，比如，印度的炼油厂每周亏损10亿美元，一年就是500多亿美元，这样的亏损很难持续。一旦印度财政支撑不住而放弃补贴，必然会引起通胀大幅度上升。现在印度通胀已接近10%，如果油价再上升，则可能出现与越南类似的情况。如果印度采取紧缩政策，必然造成经济预期下降，而在印度的热钱不会比越南少，热钱退出对印度经济会有很大的打击。一旦印度出现危机，国际金融市场则很难做比较大的调整，因为印度的定位和影响力比越南高很多。

I was in China over the last one week and have no email access. I thought you would post many articles, really feel scared to miss the good articles and latest updates by you and all the members here lah...

Anyways, over the last one week, while i was in South China, my own observation is that....damn, the inflation there is really really high.
All their food and raw food are as expensive (some are even more expensive) than in Malaysia when I converted back to Ringgit. FUUUUUYOH! And this South CHina state is no advance state like Shanghai beinjing or Guangzhou...so you can imagine.
This inflation will sure dampen their economy. And yet they are so many poor farmers there to be feed. How?
Costs in South China:
1. RMB1500 for two tables of 8 dishses food in a restaurant (balanja by my China relatives, normal food)
2. wedding angpao is RMB200 per person (in this poor state of south china)
3. petrol is RMB6.2 per litre
4. raw pork is RMB20 per 斤
5. 800 sqr ft of low cost flat is RMB150k (already catch up Penang property price in just 3 yrs!!)
So Sam, i feel that those are hidden message that inflation in China is slowly out of control
my relatives there everyday complain to me that things are getting too expensive liao. they can't afford.

（吉隆坡20日訊）雖然市場因為政府對獨立發電商徵收暴利稅而感到憂慮，導致楊忠禮電力（YTLPOWR，6742，主板基建股）股價走低，但分析員認為，暴利稅對該公司所帶來的影響，微乎其微。
政府向獨立發電商徵收暴利稅，是政府能源補貼政策的一部分，政府計劃向資產回酬高于9%的獨立發電商，徵收30%暴利稅。根據政府的定義，資產回酬是以營運獲利及總資產來計算的。事實上，上述定義留下一個何謂「總資產」的空間。無論如何，財政部預料將會在建議呈上國會之前，公佈細節。
到目前為止，分析員不認為暴利稅的徵收，將會對楊忠禮電力帶來大幅度的影響。
分析員表示，根據分析，楊總禮電力每年大約需支付4000萬令吉暴利稅。因為Paka及巴西古當的購電協議，還有7年的運行時間，因此，每年支付4000萬令吉，大約相當于2億3000萬令吉的現在值。
以20億令吉的低基礎來計算，一年如果支付5600萬令吉，其現在價值為3億2000萬令吉。這代表楊忠禮電力的實質淨有形資產將降低3仙，從2.28令吉下滑到2.25令吉。
雖然暴利稅將會對楊忠禮電力的盈利表現產生負面影響，但是大馬研究分析員認為，衝擊並不顯著，因此，維持對楊忠禮電力「守住」的投資建議。

随着山西、河南、安徽等地煤炭企业整合步伐日益加快，黑龙江将全省七个矿务局合而为一，河北省抛出组建冀中能源集团的决定……整合并购风潮正席卷整个中国煤炭产业，组建能源巨头无疑成为大势所趋。
作为中国能源安全的基石，在相当长的时期内，中国仍将保持以煤为主的能源结构。但近年来，随着能源日益紧张、煤炭投资升温，煤炭行业逐渐暴露出事故频发和行业集中度低等问题。
以河北省为例，该省煤炭年产量约为八千万吨，煤矿企业却多达三百四十九家。其中产量居于前三位的开滦、金能和峰峰，年产量也只有三千万吨、两千万吨和一千万吨。由于没有特大型规模企业带动，没有深度开发的投资，河北虽是煤炭资源大省，但始终难成资源强省。
为改变现状，河北煤炭重大重组拉开了序幕。河北省日前做出决定：整合省内峰峰集团、金能集团组建冀中能源集团有限公司，新能源集团将在今年七月中旬前挂牌。
河北省副省长孙瑞彬表示，争取到二0一0年，通过兼并、整合、重组将煤矿企业由原来的三百四十九个减少到六十个，形成两个年产五千万吨以上的大型企业集团。
资料显示，美国前四位煤炭企业的年产量超过了四亿吨，其国内市场份额为百分之四十三。而澳大利亚一家企业的市场占有率就达到了其国内市场的百分之二十一。国际企业扩张加剧，中国企业也紧随其后，正在形成新一轮兼并风潮。
据了解，黑龙江省龙煤矿业集团、安徽省淮南矿业集团等煤企正在寻找收购对象。另外，山东省国资委正对该省七家规模较大的煤矿进行调研，准备将其整合为一个亿吨级的煤炭企业大集团。
此外，山西省已经规划了晋北、晋中、晋南三大煤业集团的框架。目前，山西年产煤炭近六亿吨，其中大同煤业和山西焦煤占据较大比例，在这个产煤大省诞生两个亿吨级煤炭集团似无悬念。
中国煤炭工业协会会长王显政日前在中国能源战略高层论坛上表示，“十一五”期间，中国将加快实施大集团、大基地战略，支持国有大矿以资产为纽带，通过收购、控股等形式兼并重组，使大型煤炭集团真正成为优化煤炭工业结构的主体、煤炭基地开发建设的主体、平衡国内煤炭市场的主体和参与国际市场竞争的主体。
此间业内人士分析，通过收购煤炭企业、整合资源，大型煤炭企业的煤炭储量得以进一步补充。同时，通过兼并收购扩大规模，有助于大型煤炭集团抵御市场风险，有助于夯实中国能源安全基石

Jim Rogers seems to believe that point has been reached in certain airline stocks. He told Bloomberg TV recently that he's just bought airline stocks, saying, “24 airlines went bankrupt this year. How much more pessimistic do you want to get?”
He speaks with first-hand experience. A frequent flyer, he noticed the planes are full, and there is a huge demand for new aircraft. “If you order a plane today, you can't get one for several years,” he said, adding that airlines are raising fares.
This is not his first outing into airline stocks. Many years back, while still a partner of George Soros, he got the fund to buy airline stocks at a time when airlines were on the brink of bankruptcy or heavy losses. That turned out to be a good bet.
Airline stocks are certainly a lot cheaper than they were just six months ago. The share price of Virgin Blue Holdings Ltd, which operates a budget carrier in Australia, has fallen 70% so far this year.
Here, Malaysia Airlines is down 30% during the same period while AirAsia Bhd has dropped 47%.

I've calculated AA's pivot a couple of weeks ago, and this morning, I bought some when it got close to my pivot. I didn't get it exactly bottom, but one tick above it. This is of course risky operation, and I'm prepared to cut loss if I'm wrong.

Take a look at Tanjong. Latest EPS o.49. 0.49 x 4 = 1.96. PE just 7++ at 14++ now. Another heavyweight worth a look if price keep drop further.

But now claiming de facto increase of petrol price was only 23sen? Darlie singh: Yes. Just looking at their portfolio composition. One comes into mind - MASTEEL. It seems when Masteel went to a high over $2.10 recently, they didn't dispose and are still holding on at $1.54. I sold too early, but at least I disposed at $1.7x ... And as much as I hate to say this, I have to say that Samgang does a better job than Insider Asia on this stock for sure. But whether he is transparent is also another open question. I don't try to claim to be transparent because I've never set out to produce a model portfolio like InsiderAsia.

Darlie singh: Of course, there may be many reasons for them to declare that they buy at $2.05 on Apr 25. E.g. perhaps, in their advisory service (I don't know), they did recommend Pantech then, and if they don't buy it in their model portfolio, then, it might be inconsistent. So, maybe this is one method to boost their stock Buy calls.

檢討報告，只有報告
萬眾期待的第九大馬計劃中期檢討報告終于出爐，顧名思義這份報告是檢討耗資2000億令吉納稅人金錢的第九計劃。
在這份厚達278頁的報告，記錄了不少的數據和統計表，也記載著第九計劃執行2年的成績。
在討論檢討前，必須先了解第九計劃包羅萬象，包含了教育、工程、採購和經濟發展，以及社會改造工程等大計劃。具體的計劃，計有多媒體超級走廊、峇貢水壩和海底電纜、万撓─怡保雙軌火車計劃，以及惹起滿城風雨的潛水艇及蘇愷戰鬥機採購計劃。
但是，在翻遍整份報告后，除了呈現一片唱好的數據和未來目標展望之外，就無法看到符合中期檢討報告題目精神的內容，即如何檢討、檢討結果和檢討后的改善建議。
那么檢討的意義在哪裡？真正的檢討內容當然是有，但不是在這份提呈給國會議員及人民閱讀的報告內，是在首相署經濟策劃單位手中，而該單位的掌門人對報告之外的內容幾乎倒背如流。
舉個例子，報告有提及政府為減輕高物價對人民的負面影響，因而會優先推行一些以人為本計劃，但整份報告沒有提及哪些計劃是優先，哪些計劃從優先被降級為非優先。
然而，經濟策劃單位總監蘇萊曼一開金口，就可透露中央政府已決定展延檳島單軌火車和外環公路計劃。檢討政府做出這決定的原委，總比檢討那些「蒸蒸日上」的數據更有意義。與其稱這份報告為檢討報告，不如稱之為「成績表」？
讓我們再看看中期檢討報告第87頁，有關道路安全項目指出：「將採取多種措施減少道路死亡率，從2007年每1萬輛車的3.7，在2010年降低至3。」
這展望有問題嗎？設定目標，然后達致目標，當然是沒問題。但是，這次設定的是死亡率，換言之，政府設定2010年每1萬輛車有3人死亡。
想清楚，政府居然預先設定要死多少人？那你要不要成為政府的目標，成為「三人小組」之一？
當然，要設定等于零交通意外死亡率是難如登天，但不是得過且過，交行貨般設定每年3人死亡率。在倡行以民為本來施政時，即使知道難為，但是政府否有卯足全力來擬對策，來作到最好來達至最艱辛的目標？
